Type – Select a block type you want to add
None – Nothing will be selected or happen, freely rotate around your creation
Fill – Select a block. and it will fill with the selected color displayed on the color button
Sample – Select block to choose its color as the selected color.
Palette – Choose a Color
Snap – Blocks will be added so that they align with the block
Point – Blocks will be added so that they center on the point of the face you select.
Orbit – View your model like a you are a satellite
Center – Choose the center of your view when in orbit view
Person – View your model like a person flying through it.
Direction – Move in different directions when in person view.
There are ten Scenes that can be saved automatically in your browser. No Scene is selected when you first load the page to prevent slow loading of a large scene. You need to select a scene to open it and have it automatically saved as you work. Select clear to clear a scene back to one block or to bring back one block if you have deleted all of them. You can clear your browser cache to clear all scenes and reset the activity.
Select Block and Confirm
Delete – Remove the block
Ungroup – Select the group you want to ungroup. Select again to confirm and complete ungrouping.
Bigger – block will get bigger
Smaller – block will get smaller
Select Block and Choose Face
Add – Add the block type to the chosen face
Duplicate – Duplicate the block on chosen face
Rotate – Rotate the block while holding down on the axis of the selected face
Stretch – block will get bigger in the direction of the face you select
Flatten – block will shrink in the opposite direction of the face you select
Push – block will move in the opposite direction of the face you select
Pull – block will move in the direction of the face you select
Select Block, Select Target Block and Choose Face
Copy To – Select the block you want to copy. It will highlight in green. Select the block you want to copy to. It will highlight in red. Select a face of the red cube and the selected block will be copied to the face of the selected target block.
Move To – Select the block you want to move. It will highlight in green. Select the block you want to move to. It will highlight in red. Select a face of the red cube and the selected block will be moved to the face of the selected target block.
Select Block, Select Target Block and Confirm
Group – Select the first block you want to group. It will highlight in green. Select the block you want to group with. It will highlight in red. Select red target block again to confirm and complete the group. You may group, groups to build more complicated sets of blocks.
Scene – You can save a .txt file of your Scene in your downloads folder. You can drag and drop it back onto the activity to load your Scene from this text file. Note, when you load from a text file, if you want to save you will have to save it again to your downloads folder, creating another .txt file. It will not automatically save, due to the limitations of saving from a browser.
Model – You can save a .txt file of a model in your downloads folder. You can drag and drop it back on the activity to load your model. It will appear in the type menu under a tab “user models”. You can then select this type and add it your scene.
A selected block will highlight in green. A “face” is a side of the box, the highlighted box has six faces. The more blocks you add, the more the activity may slow down, depending on the speed of your computer.
