Bowling
Can you knock down 40 bowling pins? If you’re good at counting and you have good aim, we’re sure you can do it!
To play, click and drag on the bowling ball to point it in the right direction. The longer you make your arrow, the faster the ball will go. Also, you can try to bounce the ball off the walls to hit more pins. After each shot, you will be asked how many pins you knocked out. The pins are arranged on ten frames. So, use strategies like counting by 5s or 10s to get the right answer. If you answer incorrectly, you’ll have to start over again.
This online ten-frame game helps students become confident in counting quantities between 0 and 40. The ten-frames give students a helpful tool that also reinforces skip counting skills. Challenge students to see how many shots it takes them to knock down all 40 pins. Or, ask students to mark the pins they knock over on their own paper ten-frames as they play.
