Feelings Cards

Feelings Cards
How are you today? Happy? Angry? Feeling a bit silly? Show your feelings with the feelings cards.
To use the feelings cards, click and drag a card into the workspace. Add as many cards as you want. To remove them, click and drag them off the canvas. Or, use the trashcan button to clear the board. Use the pencil tool and eraser to draw your own faces or write words.
Use the virtual feelings cards to start conversations about emotions. Project the feelings cards on the board for the whole class to see and chat about how everyone is feeling. Or, invite students to use the cards individually so they can express how they feel. The emotions cards are perfect for English language learners and lessons on social-emotional learning. Here are some activity ideas:
-
Ask students to choose one of the feelings cards. Then, have them write a sentence or story about a time they felt that emotion.
-
Ask students to choose a feelings card and draw a copy of it using the pencil tool.
-
Ask students to draw a new feeling or emotion using the pencil tool.
-
Have students sort feelings cards, putting positive emotions on one side and negative feelings on the other side. Use the pencil tool to draw a line down the middle of the workspace to separate the categories.
