Feelings Wheel

Feelings Wheel
Choose a feeling that best reflects your mood. Not sure? Look at each face to see which feels like the best fit.
This virtual emotions wheel can help start discussions about feelings. Simply move the arrow so it points to the feeling.
The feelings wheel offers a low-stakes way for students to identify and talk about their feelings. You can invite children to use the arrow to point to how they’re feeling. This is a great activity to try at the beginning of the day so you can assess moods and energy levels.
Another way to use it is to gauge student interest in an activity or lesson. Does the math lesson make them feel happy? Calm? Sad?
You can also use the feelings wheel to teach empathy and emotional intelligence. For example, while reading a book, ask students to identify how the characters are feeling using the virtual feelings wheel. These conversations about emotions can also open the door to topics such as mental health and emotional well-being.
