About Rembrandt
Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn (1606–1669) was a Dutch painter, printmaker, and draughtsman regarded as one of the greatest visual artists of all time. His mastery of light, texture, and human emotion made his works—such as The Night Watch and The Return of the Prodigal Son—timeless studies in character and atmosphere.
