Elapsed Time Word Problems
Practice finding how much time has passed with illustrated word problems. Read each story, compare the start and end times, and choose the correct duration from six answers.
Each problem includes an illustration and two clocks to help students visualize the time interval. The times change as new problems appear, so students can practice more than one question for each story.
How to Play
- Read the story and look at the start and end times.
- Use the clocks to help work out how much time has passed.
- Choose one of the six answers. You get one try per problem.
- Watch your Correct and Wrong totals as you play.
- After a correct answer, select New Problem to continue. After a wrong answer, the next problem appears automatically.
This elapsed time activity gives students practice with time intervals, reading analog clocks, and solving everyday math word problems.
