Probability Bag
Probability Bag – Interactive Probability Tool
Explore chance with Probability Bag, a hands-on math tool that lets students fill a bag with colored counters, make predictions, and investigate random draws.
How to Use
Drag colored counters into the bag to create your own mix. Select Draw to pick one counter, or use Draw 10 and Draw 100 to collect results quickly. The side columns track the counters in the bag and how many of each color have been drawn.
Turn on Put back (sample with replacement) to replace counters after each draw, keeping the chances the same. Leave it off to explore how removing counters changes the chance of drawing each color. Select Graph to compare your results in a bar graph, or Empty to start again.
Explore Probability
Which color is most likely to be drawn? Can a less likely color appear first? Try different combinations and repeat experiments to explore likely and unlikely outcomes, compare quantities, and practice reading bar graphs.
