Rose

Rose Spiral Art Activity
What is Rose?
Kick it old school with Rose, one of our three virtual Spirographs (Spiral, Polygon, and Rose). This interactive tool introduces kids to geometric hypotrochoids while sparking creativity through spiral art.
How It Works
Students can experiment by changing colors and adjusting the levers to move the circles. Each adjustment creates unique spiral patterns, helping kids see how math and design work together. The process makes abstract geometry more concrete and fun.
Classroom Ideas
One teacher we know used Rose to have her students design flowers for Mother’s Day cards. You could also challenge students to create patterns that look like stars, wheels, or mandalas. The possibilities are endless, and every design is unique!
Learning Through Play
Rose isn’t just about drawing pretty spirals. As kids explore, they’re also building intuition about geometry, symmetry, and scientific patterns. It’s math in action—playful, hands-on, and engaging.
