Platonic Solids
Explore the five Platonic solids: tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron. Each has identical regular polygon faces, with the same number of faces meeting at every vertex.
The tetrahedron, octahedron, and icosahedron have triangular faces. The cube has square faces, and the dodecahedron has pentagonal faces. Compare their faces, edges, and vertices to discover what makes each solid unique.
Select a solid and drag to rotate it. Use Unfold and Fold to explore its faces, Transparent to reveal hidden edges, and Show or Hide to display or conceal the counts.
