How to Use Rectangle Area
Drag any dotted circle to resize the rectangle. Release it to snap to a grid point. The corners keep their right angles as the shape changes. Select Show Area to hide or reveal the calculation.
Connect Area to Multiplication
Count the rows and columns of grid squares inside the rectangle. Multiply the number of squares in each row by the number of rows to find its area. Try making different rectangles with the same area, or double one dimension and observe what happens.
