Geometric Solids
Explore six three-dimensional shapes: cube, rectangular prism, square pyramid, cylinder, cone, and sphere. Geometric solids have length, width, and height. Some have flat faces, some have curved surfaces, and some have both.
A face is a flat surface, an edge is where surfaces meet, and a vertex is a corner or point. Compare the shapes to discover which share these features and how they differ.
Select a shape and drag to rotate it. Use Unfold and Fold to explore how its surfaces fit together. Select Transparent to reveal hidden edges, and use Show or Hide to display or conceal the counts.
